4 years agoWashington running back Adrian Peterson still believes he has a lot to prove heading into his age-35 season. The future Hall-of-Famer is trying to chase down Emmitt Smith for the all-time rushing record, but is also focusing on setting an example for the young backs in the Washington RB room. Washington has a talented backfield featuring explosive rookie Antonio Gibson, passing-downs specialist J.D. McKissic, and second-year rusher Bryce Love. Peterson has been effective each of the past two seasons rushing for nearly 2,000 yards combined so he'll get his chance to contribute this season. However, with so many younger backs on the team it's hard to see trusting Peterson as a fantasy starter and is a low-upside pick for fantasy drafts, even at his average draft position of 134th overall.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
