4 years agoThe Washington Nationals are nearing a deal to bring veteran infielder Brock Holt aboard after he was designated for assignment by Milwaukee last Saturday. Holt was released earlier in the week with Washington not needing to make a deal with the Brewers to acquire his services. He has gotten off to a slow start this year, going 3-for-30 in sporadic playing time. Holt has produced an OPS+ above 100 over each of the last two years, and with Starlin Castro (wrist) done for 2020, Holt figures to fill a vital backup infield role for Washington, becoming a DFS-only candidate.--Jesse Borek
