Trevor Bauer Takes Second Loss
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings in a 3-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs in Game 1 of a Saturday doubleheader. He struck out five and walked two on the way to taking his second loss of the season. Bauer had a tough time keeping the ball inside the park as he served up two homers in the contest. The loss drops Bauer's record to 3-2 with a 2.13 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 54 strikeouts across 38 innings of work. While it's been a strong season overall for Bauer, he has strung together two mediocre outings in a row. He will look to get back into the win column next time out when he faces the Pittsburgh Pirates.
