Elvis Andrus On Track To Be Activated For Tuesday
4 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus will be activated prior to Tuesday’s contest against the Astros, rejoining the lineup after having been out of the mix since Aug. 20 due to a lower back strain. Isiah Kiner-Falefa has shifted over to short amidst Andrus’ absence, although he’s likely to reclaim third-base duties when the veteran returns. Manager Chris Woodward reiterated that Andrus would have every opportunity to play everyday upon his return despite the fact that he has produced a .184/.244/.250 slash line across his first 21 games. Andrus is likely best left on the wire in nearly all but the deepest of season-long formats at this stage.
