4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-handed reliever Pedro Baez is “a ways away” from making his return from the injured list, manager Dave Roberts revealed prior to Sunday’s contest against Texas. Baez has missed each of the team’s past nine games due to a groin ailment, with his absence now appearing destined to tail into at least mid-September. One of the stalwarts of the Dodgers' bullpen with a 1.06 WHIP through his first 11 appearances, Baez’s absence could force the club to look elsewhere for a replacement ahead of the Trade Deadline.
