Keegan Akin Faces Pitch Count For Remainder Of Year
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles left-handed pitcher Keegan Akin will be on a pitch count for his first Major League start Monday against Toronto, per manager Brandon Hyde. Akin, the club’s No. 14 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has already made two appearances out of relief this season, but he will take Tommy Milone’s spot in the starting rotation after his trade to Atlanta on Sunday. Across four Minor League seasons, Akin averaged 9.9 K/9 IP and compiled a 3.78 ERA. But with a pitch count, his season-long and DFS intrigue is capped, particularly with the Jekyll and Hyde nature of the Orioles’ bullpen behind him.
