Anthony DeSclafani Gives Up Seven Runs
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Anthony DeSclafani struggled in a 7-5 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday. DeSclafani allowed seven runs over 3 2/3 innings of work while striking out three and walking four in the loss. The loss drops DeSclafani's record to 1-2 with a 7.71 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, and 14 strikeouts over 21 innings of work. The veteran hurler hadn't made a start since August 21 after spending time on the paternity list, so rust could have been a factor on Monday. DeSclafani has not been making a case to be rostered in mixed leagues in the 2020 season. He will face the Pittsburgh Pirates next time out.
