4 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman/outfielder Brandon Lowe is not among the starting nine for Wednesday’s contest against the Yankees and left-hander Jordan Montgomery. Lowe has gone 0-for-12 over his last three outings, so despite his reverse splits in 2020 (1.125 OPS vs. LHP), Mike Brosseau will man the keystone in his absence. Lowe’s breakout campaign has hit a roadblock over the last week, but he still maintains a .592 SLG and .953 OPS, giving him appeal in all season-long formats. He’s likely to be back among the lineup Friday versus Miami, who is yet to announce a starter.--Jesse Borek
