Part of the blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Indians for starter Mike Clevinger, Allen will immediately see action with Wil Myers (undisclosed) surprisingly added to the IL. The 27-year-old San Diego native offers little offensive value with a 68 career wRC+ across four big league seasons.
