Josh Bell Out Of Starting Lineup Thursday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman/designated hitter Josh Bell is not among the club’s starting nine for Thursday’s contest against the Cubs and right-hander Alec Mills. Colin Moran will hold down first base in Bell’s absence, with the club opting to look elsewhere for thump against the soft-tossing Mills. Despite some significant season-long struggles at the dish, Bell has shown signs of heating up over the past week, with Thursday marking only his second game off all year. Fantasy managers can expect him back in the mix Friday during a doubleheader versus the Reds and right-handers Luis Castillo and Trevor Bauer, neither of whom presents a particularly advantageous matchup.
