4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is not on the horizon to rejoining the club’s starting nine, with manager Aaron Boone saying that Stanton was still “a ways away” ahead of the weekend series versus Baltimore. Stanton has been on the injured list since Aug. 9 due to a strained left hamstring, but had displayed his prodigious power (.585 SLG) prior to his absence. With both Stanton and Aaron Judge (calf) on the IL, Clint Frazier has stepped into everyday duties and taken on a sizable season-long role. Check back for an update on when Stanton could begin to be close to rejoining the big league club.--Jesse Borek
