Jose Altuve Faces MRI On Injured Right Knee
4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is set to undergo an MRI on his right knee after departing Thursday’s contest early. Altuve had surgery on that knee following the 2018 season, which may be a cause for trepidation. Off to a drastically slow start this season with a .606 OPS through his first 35 games, Houston should be able to seamlessly manage a brief absence from Altuve, with Abraham Toro and Aledmys Diaz the likeliest candidate to see an increase in role. The Astros will play their next 11 games on the road, so check back for an update on when Altuve may be able to get back into the mix.
