4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Deivi Garcia struggled on Friday, allowing four runs over 4.2 innings against the Orioles. Garcia’s performance under the hood was much more encouraging, though. Strikeouts weren’t an issue as he picked up six with a 13.7% swinging-strike rate, and he allowed a respectable four hard-hit balls (13 total batted balls). Garcia was the team’s 29th man for Friday’s doubleheader and is likely to be sent back to the team’s alternate site, but fantasy players should expect Garcia to start for the Yankees again this season, and he should be on the radar of DFS players as a result.--Sam Chinitz
