4 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons have released wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. The former first-round pick's contract with the Vikings expired at the end of last season and signed with Atlanta in March. While he's never finished a season with more than 302 receiving yards, the fifth-year pro was expected by some to rebound in Atlanta on a team with plenty of question marks at receiver behind Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. Instead, he heads back to free agency and Russell Gage appears to have locked in the No. 3 receiver job for the Falcons, making him an intriguing late-round pick in deeper leagues.
