4 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas was not ready to commit to Amed Rosario as his everyday shortstop going forward after Andres Gimenez started again Saturday versus Philadelphia and right-hander Spencer Howard. Rosario has slashed .229/.243/.349 through his first 31 games this season, and is yet to deliver a stolen base after compiling 24 and 19 in each of the last two years, respectively. The timeshare between Rosario and Gimenez makes neither a viable season-long option over the final three weeks with the position battle likely to carry into the off-season.--Jesse Borek
