4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson will slot back into the club’s starting rotation next week against Philadelphia, set to start Monday after making one relief appearance. Through six appearances (five starts) this year, Peterson has compiled a 3.03 ERA and 141 ERA+, although he has gone at least six frames just once. With many of his Statcast metrics grading out as above average, Peterson, the Mets’ No. 12 prospect, has considerable keepers appeal in addition to being a safe floor season-long option over the final three-plus weeks.--Jesse Borek
