4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu is not among the starting nine for Saturday’s contest versus the Orioles, with manager Aaron Boone confirming that LeMahieu was simply getting a day of rest. Tyler Wade will hold down the keystone with Aaron Hicks slotting into the leadoff spot. Having delivered a .380 average through his first 28 games, LeMahieu would be leading the Majors in batting if he had enough at-bats. Since returning from the injured list, LeMahieu has hit safely in all eight contests that he has started. He should be back in the mix Sunday against righty Asher Wojciechowski.--Jesse Borek
