4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman/designated hitter Danny Santana has been confirmed to be out for the rest of the 2020 year due to a sprained right elbow. He appeared in just 15 contests after his breakout 2019 campaign, but was able to slash just .145/.238/.273. The news isn’t all bad for the Rangers, who are expected to get Willie Calhoun before the final game. Calhoun was previously expected to be done for the season after he sustained a strained left hamstring, but manager Chris Woodward was optimistic about a return when he spoke Saturday. Through 18 games, Calhoun owns just a 19 OPS+, which likely makes him a fantasy non-entity barring a late-season hot streak.--Jesse Borek
