James Paxton Starts Throwing
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (elbow) began throwing on Thursday and hopes to make at least one or two starts before the end of the regular season. Paxton had been struggling this season before landing on the injured list with a flexor strain, and his fastball velocity was unusually low and a cause for concern. It’s possible (though unlikely) that Paxton regains his velocity with rest and rehab from his most recent stint on the injured list, and fantasy players should pay close attention to his velocity if he’s able to make two starts before the end of the season.
