4 years agoAlistair Overeem (47-18) put on a show, defeating the Brazilian prospect Augusto Sakai via fifth-round knockout. Overeem piled up 92 significant strikes along with 106 total strikes. The takedown was also on point for Overeem, landing all three of his attempts. Through the near 25 minutes of action, Overeem tallied up a control time of 5:30 minutes. The only title missing from the 40-year-old's resume is a UFC championship. With the No. 5 ranking prior to the bout, Overeem is setting himself up for one last run at a championship.
