4 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Cole Hamels (triceps) may be activated at the start of next week, according to team general manager Alex Anthopoulos. The veteran left-hander signed with the Braves as a free agent back in December, but he has been dealing with injuries ever since. He has been throwing live batting practices and simulated games without any setbacks this past week. Hamels is nowhere near the ace he once was, but the Braves are in desperation mode due to a horrendous stretch of injury woes. There is no rush to pick Hamels up yet, but he could become a viable depth starter for managers in deeper leagues for the final stretch of the season.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
