Brett Gardner Hitless Again On Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner went 0-for-3 with a walk against the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Wednesday’s performance extended Gardner’s hitless streak to four games, and he’s now gone without a hit in 23 of his 36 games this season. Gardner hasn’t looked right this season, as his 9% swinging-strike rate is four points above his career average and two points above his previous career-high. The contact Garnder has been making hasn’t been great, either, as he’s posted an uninspiring .333 xwOBAcon. Fantasy players can leave Gardner on waivers as a result, and he’s droppable in most leagues.
