4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Mitch Moreland went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and two runs scored Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. Moreland spanked a first-inning offering from Antonio Senzatela into the seats for his first dinger as a Friar and ninth overall. The 35-year-old was off to a slow start since joining San Diego but has bagged three hits in the last two games. Overall, he holds a strong 1.007 OPS with 50 runs-plus-RBI in 108 plate appearances. With Eric Hosmer (finger) out at least two weeks, Moreland rediscovering his thump would certainly supplement a loaded lineup. Currently batting in the heart of the order, Moreland is a reasonable power option in deeper and DFS formats.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
