4 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz and catcher Mike Zunino could both be back prior to the start of the 2020 postseason, manager Kevin Cash confirmed prior to Thursday’s game against Boston. Diaz landed on the IL on Sept. 1 due to a hamstring strain, with Zunino having been out since Aug. 26 with an oblique strain. The team has utilized a collaboration of talent at the hot corner without Diaz in the mix, as the catcher job has been held down by a combination of Michael Perez and Kevin Smith. Diaz is the more appealing of the two from a season-long fantasy perspective with a .428 on-base percentage on the year.
