4 years agoAtlanta Braves left-handed pitcher Cole Hamels (triceps) could make his season debut as soon as Wednesday against the Orioles after he threw 43 pitches Friday during a live batting practice session. Hamels has thrown multiple times in the past week as a means of ramping his arm up, which bodes well for the veteran joining the rotation mix soon. He likely won’t make more than three starts prior to the conclusion of the regular season, but he is a high-upside candidate for aggressive fantasy managers who are banking on getting the 2019 version of Hamels when he averaged a 9.1 K/9. Check back for confirmation on when he’ll officially be tabbed to get the ball for Atlanta.--Jesse Borek
