4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. was helped off of the field Friday against Washington after he fouled a pitch off of his left foot/ankle. He went 0-for-2 at the dish prior to his departure, but his 1.107 OPS this season would still rank among the game’s elite if he had enough at-bats to qualify. After missing pockets of time earlier this season due to injury, the latest malady sounds as if it could hamper Acuna’s short-term production. Ender Inciarte entered the game in his place Friday and would figure to see increased playing time if Acuna is sidelined moving forward.
