4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. fouled a pitch off of his foot Friday against the Nationals, forcing him to exit early. After having been helped off of the field without being able to put pressure on his foot, X-rays revealed that there was no fracture and that Acuna will be day-to-day moving forward. Acuna has delivered elite production when on the field in 2020, having amassed a 1.107 OPS through his first 32 contests. It sounds as if he avoided a serious injury, but it appears unlikely that he would be able to re-enter the mix as soon as Saturday.
