Antonio Gibson Turns 11 Touches Into 44 Yards
4 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson had nine carries for 36 yards and caught two passes for eight yards in his NFL-debut Sunday vs Philadelphia. Gibson came into the season with plenty of hype, but was overshadowed by Peyton Barber in this game who had 17 carries and two touchdowns. While Week 1 wasn't ideal for Gibson, the electrifying rookie will still receive plenty of chances to make plays this season as today's game-script heavily favored Barber who the coaching staff leaned on in the fourth quarter with the lead. Gibson is too talented to be unrostered in fantasy, but he shouldn't be trusted as more than a deeper-league flex while Barber is prioritized for carries.
