Joe Burrow Plays Relatively Well Against Chargers
4 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 193 yards and an interception on 22-for-36 passing during the narrow loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also added eight carries for 46 yards and a touchdown. The rookie displayed confidence and sound decision-making in his first professional appearance, especially for someone who didn't have a chance to develop with a few preseason appearances. The former Heisman winner did manage to find the end zone using his legs and also maintained an acceptable 63.9 completion percentage. Burrow will likely have some rough outings moving ahead, especially with Cincy having one of the worst offensive lines in the league. He has a shot at a more productive performance around against the Browns in Week 2, with Cleveland only putting up six points against the Ravens in Week 1.
