4 years agoMinnesota Twins utilityman Marwin Gonzalez has been scratched from Monday’s starting nine against the White Sox due to a non-COVID-19-related illness. Gonzalez was set to hold down the keystone Monday, but he now joins Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario on the bench with ailments. In 43 games this year, Gonzalez has scuffled mightily to the tune of a .213 average and .619 OPS with just seven extra-base hits. Aside from being utilized in Minnesota DFS stacks, Gonzalez holds little season-long intrigue over the final two weeks of the season.--Jesse Borek
