Anthony DeSclafani Strikes Out Seven Pirates
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Anthony DeSclafani allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings in a 9-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game 2 of a Monday doubleheader. DeSclafani struck out seven and walked one in the no-decision. The veteran cruised through the first three innings before allowing a solo homer in the fourth and a two-run shot in the fifth. DeSclafani has been struggling this season, posting a 1-2 record, 7.28 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings of work. He should be avoided in fantasy for his next start, which will come against a dangerous Chicago White Sox lineup.
