Kolten Wong Scratched From Tuesday’s Lineup
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong was scratched from the club’s starting nine Tuesday against Milwaukee left-hander Brett Anderson, allowing Matt Carpenter to enter the lineup. Tommy Edman will shift over to the keystone and move up to the leadoff spot, thereby increasing his DFS appeal. Wong’s production has dipped thus far in 2020, having compiled a .666 OPS through his first 40 games, with his 84 OPS+ tied for his lowest mark since 2016. After a career-high 24 stolen bases last season, Wong has attempted just four steals this year, converting three attempts. His next chance to return to the lineup comes in a doubleheader Wednesday versus Milwaukee.
