4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris allowed one hit and one walk but didn't allow a run to earn his fourth save of the season in a win versus the Mets on Tuesday. Neris has been pitching better since being demoted from the closer role when the team acquired Brandon Workman from Boston. Neris has allowed just one run in his last 11 games, and his 2.63 FIP suggests he's been a tad unlucky to have a 4.60 ERA. Workman has been shaky in the closer role, too, so it's possible Neris sees more save opportunities in the last two weeks, making him a good speculative add for those desperate for saves.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
