Chris Godwin In Concussion Protocol
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (head) was not spotted at Wednesday's practice and is in the concussion protocol. Godwin took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Saints safety D.J. Swearinger late in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 1 loss but didn't feel symptoms until Wednesday. Head coach Bruce Arians said that they will be "very cautious" with the star wideout. At the very least, fantasy managers should begin thinking about their Week 2 lineup possibilities without the services of Godwin, though his status for the contest against Carolina is still unknown. If Godwin doesn't suit up, fellow wideout Mike Evans could be in line for a huge target share, in addition to more passes heading the way of Scotty Miller, Rob Gronkowski and O.J. Howard.
