J.D. Davis Tees Off In Mets Win
4 years agoNew York Mets third baseman/outfielder J.D. Davis went 3-for-4, including hitting a two-run home run, in the Mets' 5-4 win against the Phillies on Wednesday. In addition to the home run, Davis doubled twice, drove in three runs, and also scored twice. Davis' home run was his first since September 3 and he is 6-for-13 over his last three games. With the Mets barely clinging to life in the playoff hunt, the Mets will likely keep Davis' bat in the lineup since he is heating up at the right time. Managers should keep Davis active in all formats, but be mindful that Davis could still potentially sit a game or two down this final 11-game stretch due to the depth in the Mets' infield. As such, managers who roster Davis in daily lineup leagues (as well as DFS players) should remain diligent in checking posted lineups prior to game time each day.
