Mike Yastrzemski Exits Early Thursday With Calf Tightness
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski departed Thursday’s contest against Seattle early due to right calf tightness. Luis Alexander Basabe took over in Yastrzemski’s stead in right field and collected his first big league hit. Prior to his departure, Yastrzemski went 0-for-1 at the dish, dropping his average on the year to .285. Despite being in the midst of the National League MVP conversation, the Giants’ outfielder has scuffled as of late with just one home run over the last two weeks. Check back for an update on his status as the team opens a series versus the A’s on Friday.
