David Peterson Strikes Out Ten Braves In Win
4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson was impressive in the Mets' 7-2 win over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday. Peterson (5-2) went six innings and struck out a career-high ten hitters, while allowing three hits including a solo home run, and just one earned run. The only blemish on Peterson's solid performance was some control issues that came in the form of four walks. Peterson now holds a 3.80 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 36:23 K:BB through 42 2/3 innings pitched on the season. He will make his final start of the regular season on Thursday against the Nationals. The rookie remains a serviceable streaming option for those managers who have been hit hard by the injury bug as we head into the home stretch of the season.
