Benny Snell Jr. Returns To Backup Role In Week 2
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. returned to a backup role behind James Conner in a 26-21 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 2. Snell carried the ball just three times for five yards, lost a fumble, and lost four yards on his lone reception. It was a rough outing for the second-year runner who was a surprise 100-yard rusher in Week 1. The Steelers' actions on Sunday told fantasy gamers that they plan on utilizing Conner as their bell-cow running back as long as he's healthy. Don't despair if you spent a waiver claim on Snell, however, as Conner has been one of the most injury-prone players in the league the past two seasons. Pittsburgh faces the Houston Texans at home in Week 3.
