4 years agoNew York Yankees pitcher Michael King allowed five runs over only 2 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays on Monday. A third inning that saw the Blue Jays string together four hits did King in, leading to reliever Jonathan Loaisiga coming in and allowing two of King’s runners to score. Despite his poor results, King looked decent under the hood, largely keeping his pitches away from the heart of the plate and generating an 18.5% swinging-strike rate. Still, King’s role as a spot starter and middle reliever for the Yankees, combined with his lackluster 21% strikeout rate, makes him unrosterable in most fantasy leagues.--Sam Chinitz
