4 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (oblique) is once again on the bench for Wednesday’s contest versus Pittsburgh and right-hander Trevor Williams. Bryant sustained an oblique injury Monday, with David Bote taking over for him at the hot corner. It’s been an offensive malaise at the dish this season for Bryant (.583 OPS), whose status remains up in the air for the final few regular season contests. His lack of production, combined with his health question marks, lends credence to the idea that fantasy managers should look elsewhere for production through Sunday.--Jesse Borek
