4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins (elbow) is more than likely done for the remainder of 2020. Hoskins is still not ready to hit in any capacity, which all but officially rules him out for the rest of the regular season, at the very least. Even if Philadelphia makes the postseason, manager Joe Girardi believes it’s a long shot that Hoskins -- who may necessitate Tommy John surgery during the offseason -- takes the field again this year. Alec Bohm and Jay Bruce figure to continue seeing the vast majority of time at first, with Hoskins’ ‘21 status up in the air as he progresses on the comeback trail.--Jesse Borek
