4 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez has batted just .188 with a .216 on-base percentage during September, being dropped in the order as far as the No. 7 slot. His OPS has been in a steady freefall from his past numbers, settling into .579 with just three contests to play in 2020. Equally concerning is the career-worst 38.3% whiff rate and 32.9% K rate that Baez has put forth this year. While he will still have some DFS appeal come the postseason due to the thump in his bat, he’s unlikely to be taken anywhere near the Top 50 in next year’s season-long drafts.--Jesse Borek
