4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro is not starting for the second consecutive game Friday versus the Yankees and left-hander J.A. Happ. Chad Wallach draws the start again behind the dish, batting ninth. After posting three consecutive seasons of at least 1.0 oWAR (per BRef), Alfaro has dipped to -0.1 this year with a .222/.271/.344 slash line. The club has not released an injury update on Alfaro, although he should still continue to serve as their primary catcher moving forward.--Jesse Borek
