Hunter Renfroe Makes First Career Start At First Base Friday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Hunter Renfroe had played all of one career inning at first base entering play Friday, but that’s about to change. Tabbed to play first Friday against Philadelphia and right-hander Vince Velasquez, Renfroe will get a crack at the position as the team attempts to see if it could be a viable option for him moving forward. Renfroe has been in a slump at the dish as of late with just four hits in his last 15 games, albeit three of those left the yard. He offers boom-or-bust DFS upside, but little season-long intrigue over the season’s final weekend.
