4 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Kyle Farmer will make the start at shortstop Saturday against Minnesota and right-hander Michael Pineda. The start will mark Farmer’s 18th of the year, as Freddy Galvis returns to the pine a night after going deep. With a .328 OBP in 64 plate appearances this year, Farmer holds punt play DFS appeal, but batting eighth will make him difficult to fit into a Cincinnati-centric stack. Expect Galvis to see the vast majority of playing time at short for the Reds during the postseason.--Jesse Borek
