Latavius Murray Leads Team In Carries
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Latavius Murray carried the ball a team-high 12 times for 58 rushing yards and caught one pass for seven receiving yards in a 37-30 loss to the Packers. Murray was overshadowed by the Alvin Kamara show, but he actually ran the ball really well, with a touchdown being the only thing missing. The veteran back will have standalone fantasy value in some games but this game reinforced one very important fact. Aside from Kareem Hunt, Murray might be the most valuable insurance policy in fantasy football. If something were to happen to Kamara, he would get a gargantuan workload, as he did last year when he was given the reins to the backfield. Murray could be in the flex conversation in Week 4 against a bad Lions' run defense.
