Kyle Higashioka To Start On Tuesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Kyle Higashioka will start at catcher against the Indians on Tuesday, according to manager Aaron Boone. Gary Sanchez’s struggles, combined with Higashioka’s strong play, have pushed the latter into semi-consistent playing time for the Yankees, and starting pitcher Gerrit Cole (slated to start on Tuesday) has posted a sparking 1.00 ERA in four starts with Higashioka behind the plate this season. Higashioka isn’t a particularly attractive fantasy option on Tuesday with his career .602 OPS and a matchup against Cleveland ace Shane Bieber, so fantasy managers should look for other options at catcher on Tuesday despite Higashioka drawing the start.
