4 years agoPaulo Costa suffered the first loss of his professional career on Saturday night, sustaining the TKO loss in the second round to champion Israel Adesanya. Costa was out-struck, landing only 12 significant strikes. Costa also took a lot of heavy kicks from Adesanya and was eventually dropped in the second round by a big left hand. Costa was unable to stick to his game plan and was dominated by the champion. It's hard to say what's next for Costa, but he is already stating that he wants another shot at the title. He'll have to put in the work and show a couple of dominant performances before he will face Adesanya again.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
