J.A. Happ Trends Toward Being Named Game 3 Starter
4 years agoNew York Yankees left-handed pitcher J.A. Happ is moving toward being named the club’s starter for a potential Game 3 of the wild-card series versus Cleveland. Manager Aaron Boone conceded “it’s looking like” Happ would be the name, with right-handed rookies Deivi Garcia and Clarke Schmidt having made their case over the past month. Happ amassed a 3.47 ERA across nine starts in the regular season, having allowed more than three runs just once in his last seven starts. With his possible appearance coming in a do-or-die situation, he would likely have a short leash, denting his DFS intrigue.
