Chris Herndon Could See Increased Role In Week 4
4 years agoNew York Jets tight end Chris Herndon has fluctuated between being a critical component in the team’s offense and disappearing from the gameplan. Heading into Week 4, Herndon may be relied upon more than usual with all three of New York’s top receivers carrying questionable designations as of Tuesday night. Their respective statuses for Thursday could create an opening for Herndon to vulture additional targets. Quarterback Sam Darnold has targeted Herndon better than an average of five times per contest over the first three weeks, although he has become a touchdown-dependent fantasy commodity, albeit one without an actual touchdown. Season-long fantasy managers may choose to wait until Sunday for more consistent options to appear, but those interested in the DFS market could consider Herndon as part of a one-game slate roster.
